For Livie

I think you should try this craft one day. Oh, and make a set for me - I'll pay you a lot of money for them.

Tara's really cute baby

Remember when...

...a giant rubber ball and a puddle was all you needed to have a really good time?
Tonight Syd and I hung out together and had a great time playing outside. We bounced balls, got dirty and laughed really hard. 2 year olds are so fun!

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I've only seen one of the old movies (thanks Farmers/Farrars for the exposure) but I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull last night and I still really liked it.

My new bedding

I recently announced my choice for new spring bedding and it finally came last week. I now love my bed even more than I did before! It's so bright and spring-y I can't help but smile every time I walk into the room.

Syd discovers eyeshadow

Liv and Syd came over the other night to get my carpet cleaner and while we were visiting Syd discovered my vast collection of eyeshadow. She proceeded to apply (with some help from me) a lovely assortment of colors...and ended up looking like she got in a really bad fight. So cute!

Micah's a faker. He pretends he doesn't read blogs, but look, he commented on mine.

Oreo milkshakes

I crave an Oreo milkshake nearly all the time. Yesterday after work I was on my way to Liv's for dinner and I stopped at the Malt Shoppe to get one because the craving was so strong. This is how I imagine pregnancy cravings feel - and I now understand why so many women give in to them!

A new toy

I bought a Bissell carpet cleaner a couple of weeks ago and could not be more pleased with the work it did on our carpet.
I got it at Costco for $200.00 and considering that Stanley Steamer would charge $52.00 to clean my family room but that doesn't even hit the minimum charge of $96.00, I'm confident I made the right decision.
If you know me in real life and want to borrow it, let me know...I really can only use it so often. Tara's in line first, then Livie, and I refuse to rush either of them (they have small children) so there may be a wait.

The most pleasant surprise

One my favorite simple pleasures is finding out that someone reads my blog, even if I don't know them well (or at all). When I post I assume that the old stand bys will read it, the folks who always comment. But when someone new comments, oh my goodness it's the happiest thing! For example, Emily made a comment on my Random post. I read her blog every time she posts (thank you google reader) but I sure was pleasantly surprised to hear she reads mine! So I'm calling out all of you that read but never comment - announce yourself! I promise I won't care if you work for me but we've never spoken or if you're the sister of a friend (Misty, Tara told me about you), I'd really like to know you're out there!

Blog spotlight #2 - The Pioneer Woman

A great blog full of funny stories, tons of tips and a really enjoyable writing style. It will take you a while to read all of her posts (the archives are worth it, I promise) so I suggest starting with her love stories. Like so many of her posts they are heart warming, funny and just make you feel good about being alive.

This litte girl was on Oprah today. Not only does she have an amazing talent, she's from Provo. Random. http://youtube.com/watch?v=r43yCiKlbCo

My new phone

I've had a Motorola Q for quite some time...over a year at least and was quite happy with it until last week when the screen died. APX is switching to a BlackBerry server so I jumped on the band wagon and on Friday switched to the new Curve and I fell in love. It's the perfect cell phone, you all should try it.

I got to see Darci last night and let me tell you, these pictures don't do her justice. She is so teeny and SO beautiful and just perfect. For those of you who will eventually meet her, get excited.
Me and Darci

Darci...note the sad bruise on her hand

Her head looks a little misshapen but it's not...her hair just grows straight out on the sides

Just for the size comparison here she is with my hand

I saved the best for last. This was taken with my cell phone but I think it perfectly captures her cuteness.

Baby Darci

Dari entered the world at 9:30 this evening. She weighs 5 pounds 5 ounces and is 17.25 inches long. She gets to spend some time in the NICU because she took some meconium into her lungs, but other than that mom and baby are doing great. I went to the hospital to see her tonight but due to her visit to the NICU I got to see pictures instead. Sorry to disappoint but I assure you that she's absolutely gorgeous. I did get to see Darci's mom and she is equally as beautiful, was alert and seemed to be recovering quite nicely.

The secret to great eyelashes

This $7.00 beauty tool from Tweezerman is the secret to great eyelashes. I curl mine, apply mascara, curl again, apply another coat and then comb. My eye lashes aren't exceptionally long but this sure helps them look the best they can.

My new bedding

I bought new bedding yesterday. I got the sheets in yellow. It's all from Pottery Barn, you can find the duvet cover here and the sheets here. Feel free to copy me because this stuff is DARLING.

Grown up sleepover

Last week Liv, Scott, Rob, Esther and I had a grown up sleepover at Liv and Scott's. Es and Rob had to be out of their house and so they were staying at Liv and Scott's. We all got together for dinner (Burgers Supreme), a movie (Juno), treats and lots of good conversation. I didn't spend the night (my bed feels like Wonder Bread, remember?) but had a great time. We need to do this again soon!

Aren't birthdays fun?

I was just thinking about what a fun day my birthday was...sometimes I wish we could celebrate like that every day.
